Accountant
Rental property has some very significant tax advantages, and a good accountant will help you maximise the opportunities you have to save on tax, and will also help you manage cashflow so you don’t find yourself having to juggle. If you don’t have an accountant that you already work with, we can assist you by introducing you to one of several that specialise in working with property investors, and who we know will do a good job for you. An accountant, working with a Mortgage Solutions adviser can help you identify the best ownership structure of your assets, and can help you set up a company, family trust or Loss Attributing Qualifying Company (LAQC) if appropriate.

Lawyer
You’ll need a lawyer to do the conveyancing, and if you don’t already have a lawyer we can help you there.

Property Maintenance and lawn mowing contractors
There is a Kiwi tradition of DIY, but it’s been our experience that getting a specialist property maintenance company to do the work is a very smart move. They’re often quicker, do a better job and a lot of tenants simply don’t want their landlord coming round, even if it’s to fix a problem.

If you don’t have someone in mind, we have a number of people we can recommend – we know from experience that they do a good job, are prompt and charge a fair price.
